Love Story as Told by the Bride…

Travis and I only knew each other by name and when we met fact to face randomly through mutual friends in 2011.

Our love story did not start as a whirlwind romance but as a friendship that blossomed into something amazing. We just really enjoyed being together. It wasn’t hard to fall for someone so funny and willing to go on all of my crazy adventures… six years of travel, love laughter and adventures.

Shortly after our daughter was born, Travis asked if I would go and take family photos at Condorus State Park, one of our favorite places. My sister acted as photographer and secret keeper. While taking a photo of me and Oaklee, Travis knelt down behind me. I turned around to find him down on one knee. In my surprise, I asked him “what are you doing?” He laughed and asked me to spend my life with him. Of course I said yes!

Setting the date for the following October gave us a year and a half to plan our fall wedding. You would think getting married at your family’s venue and being in the business would make it easier to plan, but it did not. I DIYed most of our décor, even hand making and dip dyeing our napkins as well as growing the succulents for our favors. I wanted to have a wedding that fit us to a T. I even wore a brown leather belt.

It was so amazing to see our vision come to life. Above all, we feel so blessed to celebrate our love with our friends and family.
