Considering holding a Maryland Zoo Wedding? Well, Saying “I Do” at the zoo brings a lot of joy, fun and color! Especially in the springtime…

Below is the story as told by the bride, Natalie, about how she and Kevin met and fell in love. Plus a list of all Maryland wedding vendors await you at the bottom!

” I was out at the bar with my friend Maria having a girls’ night when I saw a guy at the other end of the bar…

He had beautiful eyes and a very impressive beard. Feeling adventurous I nudged Maria and said, “Ooh, he’s cute! Maria, go touch his beard,” to which she gamely replied, “OK!” Maria hopped off her bar stool, walked over to Kevin, tapped him on the shoulder, and without introduction asked, “Can I touch your beard?” Confused yet intrigued, Kevin gave his permission, and then they stared talking. A few minutes later I joined them, and we were officially introduced. Sparks flew!

Gary Inen Photography captured the true essence of all the zoo vibes!

A few nights later Kevin and I saw one another again and finally exchanged numbers. For our first date we met up in Old Ellicott City, picked up some coffee, and perused the shops while joking around and thoroughly hitting it off. The rest is history! -As told by the Bride

The Engagement

“When Natalie and I got engaged, we were on vacation with my family in Colorado. Part of the plan during the vacation was the engagement, but I hadn’t decided how I wanted to do it yet. We had planned a snowmobile trip up the Rockies, which I thought was perfect.

Before the trip, I spoke to the leader of the expedition and explained the plan. He loved it and said he’d help out…

We start the trip and see some awesome scenery and old train tracks used during US expansion. We continue up the mountains, and when I thought we couldn’t get higher, the guide said he would take us higher up than he usually does. We stop at this beautiful area over looking what seemed like all of Colorado, and we could get off the snowmobiles and take pictures.

Before the big moment, I suggested to Natalie that she should take her helmet off for photos. She disagreed as it was too cold out. As we posed for the photo, I took my chance. She was shocked and of course said yes. She also was wondering why I didn’t tell her to take her helmet off before hand. She held me tightly on the snowmobile the whole way back down the mountain.
