Maryland Wedding – Megan and Shane Tie the Knot at Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood
Valley Bride shares this real Maryland wedding story of Megan and Shane who tied the knot last winter on the most perfect snowy day…
Shane and I met at Looney’s Bar and Grille in College Park, MD. He was out for drinks with his coworkers, and I was out to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
We quickly noticed each other, which led to Shane moving down a barstool to offer me a seat next to him. After conversing all night, the two of us exchanged phone numbers.
About a month later, we started dating and knew almost right away we wanted to share the rest of our lives together. Shane continued to travel all along the east coast for his job, while I remained working in Maryland. Although trying at times, we relied on weekends and up to eight hour drives to see one another.
“No distance could keep us apart.”
Fast forward to four years later… to a sunny Saturday afternoon in September. Shane fastened a shiny engagement ring to our cat’s collar in our Maryland home and asked me to marry him.
One year later, on a cold magical winter Saturday in December, we promised to love one another for the rest of our lives in front of our friends and family.
Today, it’s been a year since our wedding day, and we are happily living in Tennessee where we both wake up under one roof.
