We’ve scoured the best of Maryland Winter Wedding Venues… and our top five await you below!
These decisions were based on couple’s satisfaction… ease of access and amenities during cold winter months… atmosphere and setting… and of course the staff!
Chase Court – Baltimore
Imagine big, beautiful leaded-glass windows, soft light, and a fire in the fireplace. Like winter in the great hall at Hogwarts, the great hall at Chase Court has a cozy hygge feel, with the simple elegance of traditional gothic architecture. Its original iron hanging chandeliers (very Game of Thrones!) and gothic details create a festive feeling. It’s relaxed without being casual, formal without being stuffy. And then there’s the special feel of the gardens in winter, with hundreds of lights twinkling in the trees.
It’s so easy to forget that you’re steps away from all that the city has to offer: elegant, boutique hotels; convenient transportation; fine dining; and more. Chase Court is perfect for winter weddings, indoors and out. It’s an authentic (1879!), romantic, intimate, and stunningly beautiful oasis in the city.
““David, because of you and your wonderful venue, we have been so high on bliss and married happiness. Chase Court truly made our wedding day as special and beautiful as possible. And you, David, you were the man with the plan, keeping us at ease and assuring us that you got this throughout the process. Never once did we have to doubt or worry that the day would be anything less than perfect. That was huge. Your professionalism and expertise was instrumental in ensuring everything ran smoothly during the rehearsal and celebration itself. We can’t imagine having married each other anywhere else than your venue. Words cannot accurately convey the immense gratitude we have for you and Chase Court. We wish you all the best as you make more and more couples the happiest they can be. And we will be sure to call you for a vow renewal down the road. Thank you again for everything! Sincerely, Tim & Ashley”
Gramcery Mansion – Stevenson MD
Our venue, even during the winter months, still brings the outdoor gardens in, as couples can get married in the Atrium. The glass doors of the Atrium allow a lot of natural light to come through and the plants make it warm and inviting. Couples can still sneak out into the gardens or to the gazebo for beautiful portraits on our 45 wooded acres. We especially love this winter wedding because of the green and ivory color palette.
“My husband Matt and I were married in March, 2018 at the Gramercy Mansion and it was everything we ever dreamed of and more! We always knew we wanted a late winter wedding on St. Patrick’s Day inspired by our first dance song “St. Patrick’s Day” by John Mayer. The Gramercy was the only wedding venue we toured. As soon as we saw it we knew it would be perfect for our special day. From the sprawling grounds covered in greenery to the romantic lights in the atrium and the warm glow of the fireplaces and candles spread all over the mansion, our winter wedding at the Gramercy felt absolutely magical!”
Antrim 1844 – Taneytown MD
The perfect romantic setting for a winter wedding venue. Every year, Brides and Grooms enjoy the glowing fireplaces throughout our property, The Pickwick Pub, and The Smokehouse Restaurant’s delightful culinary talents. Its cozy and welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect place to capture beautiful photos for all visitors alike.
The Mansion, Wine Cellar, and Formal Gardens are just a few of the romantic spots located throughout the property. The wow-worthy gardens make for a perfect photo-op, especially when they are snow-tipped.
Located just 20 minutes outside of Gettysburg, and 50 minutes from Baltimore in Taneytown, Maryland, we are easily accessible.
“The Antrim 1844 is such a magical place as a Maryland Winter Wedding Venue. My parents got married at the Antrim in the Mansion in 1995, so it was already special to our family. In 2016, my now husband and I met for the first time at the Antrim at the Carrollton Hounds Hunt Ball. In 2017, we got engaged at the New Year’s Eve Gala in the formal gardens at midnight. So, when it came time to looking for a wedding venue, we knew that the Antrim was the perfect place. Everyone at the Antrim made our wedding day nothing short of perfect. My wedding party and I got our hair and makeup done in the Formal Dining Room before going to the bridal suite to get ready. My husband, his best man, and friends stayed in the pub before going to their suite to get ready as well. We had our first look in the snow covered formal gardens and it was perfect. Our ceremony was in the Garden Room in the Pavilion, which was set up beautifully and our guests were very comfortable. My husband and I had several of our hors d’ouevres stationed at the table waiting for us at our sweetheart table along with fruit and drinks. After the meal was finished, we just danced the night away until going to the Pub for the after party. My wedding day was just an absolute dream and the Antrim did everything they could to make it perfect.” – Fallon Pearre

“Elkridge Furnace Inn completely outdid any expectation I had for my wedding! We got married 12/22/18. The entire place was decorated so lovely, and the atmosphere was beautiful and warm. What really made it a truly amazing experience was the staff. They anticipated every need we had and made the day run so smoothly. I had a staff member at my side whenever I needed. My ceremony was outside, and everyone commented how it was the most beautiful ceremony they have ever seen! We had a non conventional ceremony, and that was no problem at all for EFI.” -Samantha Faye Jaquet
